send this to your partner if you're in this season send this to your partner if you're in this season too!! 6 things my husband is doing to prepare for our pregnancy.

bc trying to have a baby can put SO much of the mental + physical load on women, and i really love and appreciate that this has always felt like something we're doing together.

ps. @myovry ovulation strips have been part of our TTC routine from day one (my husband even reminds me when it's time to test). they're 100% made in Canada with 90% less plastic than traditional brands 🇨🇦 use code ALESSIA15 for 15% off online (also available at @shoppersdrugmart)
we got married this year & now are hoping to start we got married this year & now are hoping to start a family. deciding you want to have a baby together, and talking about what your life will look like once it's here are two very different things. save this to talk about with your partner!

1- what from our childhoods do we want to bring into parenting, and what do we want to do differently?
2- what do we want our family life to feel like? how do we want to spend our time? where do we want to live?
3- how do we want to parent? how do we feel about food, sleep, discipline, screens, school, grandparents?
4- what happens to our careers? does either of us pull back?
5- what does an equal partnership look like when having a baby is physically by one person?
6- what if getting pregnant isn’t easy? are we open to testing, treatments, IUI, IVF? how far are we willing to go?
7- how do we want our marriage to feel after kids? how do we stay in love?

my husband and i don't have every answer figured out. but these conversations made us realize there’s a big difference between deciding you want a baby and deciding what kind of family you want to build.

comment CONVOS and i'll send you 10 bonus questions, plus mine & my husbands real (unfiltered) answers.
the millennial in me can't help it 🫠 how else are the millennial in me can't help it 🫠 how else are you supposed to make sure it doesn't slip off your shoulder?! i'd rather wear my bag cross body than spend all night trying to make sure my bag doesn't slip... am i right?!

follow @alessiawillington if you’re also a millennial physically incapable of carrying your bag on one shoulder!
trust me, what feels like your biggest failure, re trust me, what feels like your biggest failure, rejection, or missed opportunity is actually divine redirection from the Universe 🤍

losing my life savings in 2026, divorcing at 31 in 2022, and leaving a six-figure finance career in 2020… those were three times i was convinced my life had completely fallen apart.

in the moment, they felt like HUGE failures. like i had made the wrong choice, ruined the plan, and gotten further away from the life i wanted.

the crazy part is that i can look back at two of those moments now and see SO clearly what they were making room for. the first redirected me into a career i genuinely love. the second eventually made room for the relationship and marriage i have now. the third happened this year… and i still have no idea what’s waiting on the other side of it yet.

that’s where faith comes in. trusting that just because you can’t see the redirection yet doesn’t mean there isn’t one.

so trust me, your biggest failures always turn out to be divine redirection.

comment DIVINE and i’ll send you the full story behind all three failures, what they REALLY cost me (yes… i shared the actual numbers), and why i’ve learned to trust the Universe’s plan more than my own 🤍
